Just wondering.. How come a Shield can stop bullets, flames, and lasers, but can NOT stop a weak little snow ball? Go check this out for urself, the shield doesn't stop it.. You just get hit as if the shield was nothing.

I don't think a Tactical Shield in real life that can stop BULLETS, LASERS, AND FLAMETHROWERS, but CAN'T defend against snow balls.

There should be a unique set of shields to stop these different forms of weapons in my opinion. For example the tactical shield shouldn't be able to deflect against Lasers or Flamerthrowers. Only bullets, snowballs. DC could perhaps add some type of shield to deflect Lasers and Flamethrowers. That'd be awesome.

I can come up with some names, for example...
Clay Shield, since clay doesn't heat up as badly as other materia it could be used against the flamethrower. And it has the initials "CS" what more could you ask for.

Although the Laser would be hard to give a name too.
Well, perhaps Titan Shield since it sounds pretty hard it must be able to deflect some Lasers.

Anyone liked the concept?

please don't open a thread for every shit
you could write this in the suggestions thread.

the reason why this happens is simple: the shield stops all weapons which cause damage instantly. when you shoot/knife/laser you cause damage instantly. but flying projectiles with delayed impact like rpgs or snowballs are not stopped by the shield because there is just no routine to check for a shield in their code (they also cause splash damage btw).

I'll try to fix that but the priority of this is very low...
