I already asked that, but like only for sniper as it has a bigger ranger so that you can see farther or scoped weapons.

Reexplanation : When you normally mouve your crusor around the screen, the view /camera does't moove, it follows the player ( only mooves with the player ) . The idea is that if it's possible to make it possible that proportinally mooving the crusor farther in the screen with a scoped weapon makes it possible to "slide" the camera, it follows both crusor and player. good luck...
If you want an illustrated example, try playing Gang Garrisson 2. Chose sniper as you're class. (it's a 2d [not topdown but sideways] funny game..)

I agree with Flacko on that nothing's impossible to implement into a game but I also agree to what DC said about that it wouldn't fit CS2D very well. I admire your discussion about this though, Phenixtri. We have to admit that we can't have everything in CS2D, but in HL2D that me and Blaze was making sometime ago there was something like [use the spoiler] just that. However it would probably cause disorientation to players when they spin around too much and that itself will lead to gameplay inconvenience (such as: dizziness) that some people would dislike. Even though it's a nice concept, it's causing confusion to the player in various ways. That is also important to keep in mind.

this thread is simply about the idea to rotate (NOT scroll or zoom!) the whole map instead of the player (please take a look at the screenshot in the spoiler above).
