well chat is hard to implement without bugs, but still would be nice to see

Beta 0.1.2.0 Suggestions & Ideas...I think this is a pretty good idea, but what if you choose an image that looks like the ground image or something? Maybe another option to disable user-custom player sprites. -- As well as disabling it for the server.
