Does anyone remember playing MUDs?

I was running through my old source files from about 4 or 5 years ago, and I found some source code for a MUD server and client that I had written ( according to the date system
I used to use in my source files ) over a period of about 6 weeks. After updating some socket code I compiled the two and I was playing an old MUD again! I thoroughly enjoyed my playing time in it.
I want to know if anyone else used to/still play MUDs?
