Well, to me it's rather obvious that if you do something you think is moral (like buying one of these "Kony action kits"), but doesn't actually do any good, then this action will still lead to bad behaviour for a while. If you bought a Kony Kit, you'll probably be less willing to donate to more effective charities which actually save lives.

EDIT: And about the video, you can care all you like, but the only way you can stop this guy is if one of these abductees are actually close enough to the man to deliver a killshot to his skull. Finding this guy in the Ugandan rain forest will be like finding a piece of grass in a haystack, they all look the same. Also, there is no point in trying to make a government do this, don't donate money, go and search the jungle for yourself. You will soon be discouraged and walk away.
