CS2D 1.0.1.1 is now online on Steam and as standalone version!
This is just a minor bugfix release.

Also please note that Smart Lighting 2D a Unity conversion of the light engine used in CS2D is nominated for the Unity Awards 2019!

Having an empty <serverinfo> body crashes the game, so does an invalid URL to an image (Exception Access Violation). But that is understandable.

Also the 3D Tiles seems to be breaking the tiles

@user TrialAndError: Can you send me map in discord? I'll take a look.

By the way, images can be loader either locally or from the web.
It's also possible to download images prior to joining with server transfer

For those who are getting the error below when launching the dedicated server:
./cs2d_dedicated: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.16' not found (required by ./cs2d_dedicated)

The solution is upgrade your O.S., I was using Centos 6 (which is very old) to Centos 7 and it solved!

@user Elfing:

It does, I have CS2D thru Steam and just updated at the very first moments, when the DC made the post, so should definitely work.

No update on the Steam client. Not downloading anything
Maybe it already updated it without you noticing it?

Nope. Mine is still in the previous version. Nothing on the downloads. I'll just back my stuff up and reinstall it.

No need to reinstall pal, simply just download the CS2D manually and extract the files, shouldn't give any problems.

In the very most cases anyway, all you need to replace the .exe file and that's it, but @user SQ: can probably tell more on how to update it manually and what files are actually needed to overwrite.

@user Elfing: Which OS? It worked fine for me on Windows. You may have to restart Steam.

Windows 7. I did restart Steam and the PC. I tried with both my own internet connection and mobile data, didn't work. I fixed it by just deleting the executable and making Steam check the game files and redownload it. I did lose all the settings, favorite servers and whatnot. Just putting this out there since other people might also be having this issue.

This update is mostly with the map editor or how it's called, no game changes.
