Ay.

As you've seen, DC finally implemented the Quick Play feature. That's a big plus for most of us players and, of course, hosters. Right now, it is pretty easy to set up a quick play server (by appending "[Q]" to the server name) and it works quite well. Unfortunately there's a problem. You can pretty much set up a random server and fool the entire system to get more players.

That's why I had the idea for us to use this thread to report fake quick play servers and make it easier for DC to moderate the serverlist. (I think that moderators should be able to blacklist servers aswell)

So basically, a quick play server isn't legal if it breaks any of the rules bellow:
- It must not have a password and everyone must be able to play (except hackers and such for obvious reasons)
- It must not run any gameplay modifications
- It must be running the standard gamemode (although I think that Team Deathmatch mode should also be considered)
- It must run the default/vanilla settings (fow of choice)

So if you find any quick play server that doesn't follow this criteria, feel free to report it here.

Fow isn't important for the Q-P servers, so yes
And no one would make fake Q-P servers because they know their server IP gonna get blacklisted.

No, + It's not about fooling, The client detect it self if it is able for Q-P or not when setting up a multiplayer server.

I'm an idiot, nvm.

[Q]BR HU3 177.141.48.60:36963 (this server was using a prison map.)

Yes, fog of war would be nice but it's not a requirement for Quick Play servers.

Unfortunately I didn't consider add a map filter for the quick play feature. It would be totally possible without insane effort and I'll probably add it later along with some other options for quick play.

@user Talented Doge: Only game changing scripts count to violations I guess. Things like custom grenades, m4 grenade launcher or blood and shaking effects on hit. These change the way the game works and is perceived.

Does banning several weapons count as gameplay modifications or only using those kind of scripts counts? Not tactical shield but awp, scout etc.

@user Talented Doge: Well every shooter has servers in which grenades are banned, sniper rifles are banned and that sort of thing. It's really up to what the community wants and what is considered annoying.

For me, I don't care about not having the ability to buy a sniper rifle, but maybe the majority of the community does - which means it would count towards a warning I guess.

Honestly, we need a dedicated page and team to deal with this kind of stuff. The blacklist should be based on community votes with a final judge being DC, but if you want to do this - I suggest you create a poll outside of Unreal Software and report the results of said poll here. That would be the best for everyone including DC who only deals with reports with a backup from the/a community and not singular posts here with someone posting "Yeah totally agree that server sucks."

@user Yates: How about tags? When going quickplay, you get a list of checkboxes with labels such as "Buy Restrictions", "Fog Of War", "USGN Only", etc.

@user J192: Some people like to search for all [Q] servers and see what maps they are using as well as their options without using the Quick Match button, it would also have to be very clear to them what options a server is using via the server list.

A PM should be sent to the hoster informing him of the incorrect usage of the server. If the hoster does not take action then the whole IP should be blacklisted.
