Hi,

there's a lot of stuff to announce! First of all: I decided to let some other people contribute to CS2D's code base.

user SQ already created the "old" light engine and he was really busy the last months re-writing it from scratch. The results are amazing!

user EngiN33R will support the development of CS2D. This way I can focus more on Stranded III and you will still get CS2D updates. He already contributed a lot for the upcoming release like round-by-round shotgun reloading, multi-mod support, menu music, new script stuff and more!

I also was busy working on the next CS2D version for the last two months. To everyone who favors Stranded III: I'm really sorry. I'll go back to full power Stranded III development super soon!

What I actually want to show you at this point is a pre-release version for the upcoming CS2D 1.0.0.2 so you can take a look at the new stuff we added.

Get the CS2D 1.0.0.2 PRE-RELEASE (Win only 10.3 mb) here
Please extract it to a fresh folder and do not override your CS2D folder with it!

Note: This is not an official update (yet). You can only join manually using the join by IP or LAN function with this release. It's only a preview version for testing.

What about adding "settilerot", "settileblend" and "settilecolor" for more veriety? Also I'm still hyped about built-in GUI manipulation via Lua, which you mentioned 2 years ago.

Great update! Nice seeing this game update once in a while!

This update forced me to redownload CS:2D.

Update : Okay, as I made it fullscreen it became unplayable. I`ll wait for final version...

If bug reports are welcome, I want to show something similar to it, when I tested light system (I created some map less than 1 minute) I discovered, that flashlight can see walls #1 through walls #2
Of course I made screenshot.

As you see, you can see crates. I stayed behind walls and tried to use flashlight. Same when I use ultra, on all lighting options.

Got an interesting bug: Started a new game, very first thing that happened: game stopped because speedhack detected o.O was a little shocked...

But nice update anyhow

I just have to thank you DC, for let them work with you. They will do a lot of incredible things for the game for sure. Maybe this is one of the most important announcements you have made in life.

Wow! I had a great issue with FPS for last months. FPS was dropping from 50 to 30 like every 10 seconds. This version with 1024x768 resolution works perfectly. FPS problem is gone. I only hope that when there will be an update to the current released version, It won't "f***" up things.

user SQ has written
@user KDMRL: Are you sure 1024*768 is working more smooth than 640*480 previously?

For me It is. The pointer and radar are a bit too small for 1024x768 resolution, It should be a bit bigger. However, everything else is fine. The most important is that my fps problem is gone :).
